So I'm curious to know who may have a 4th Gen that came with some of the optional accessories available in those days from the dealer. Anyone? If so, what have you?
depends on which model you are talking about. some came with power options, some didnt, some came with ac some didnt, some had sunroofs and some didnt, wheel options, leather, power seats. there are others like adjustable steering wheel, leather wrapped wheel.
No, no, no. Accessories; Not options. Accessories would be things that didn't come from the factory.......like cargo nets.....the alarm system.....the car bra.....things like that.
I'm sure there's sites that have other accessories that fit our cars, I personally don't have any general bookmarks for 4th gen accessories. What exactly are you looking for - a bra? LeBra does produce a custom full bra for the 4th gen. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LeBra-86 ... enameZWDVW -K
Ok.......everybody is completely missing the point. Don't read in to what I'm asking. Just read WHAT I am asking. I'm not taling about options you can buy with the car; I have them all except ABS. Nor am I looking for anything. I, for one, have an original Genuine Toyota ST16x bra that has "CELICA" embroidered on the hood cover. That's the kind of stuff I'm talking about. So does anyone have a cargo net or the alarm system that was outlined in the '89 brochure? I'm purely curious.
Remember how surprised you were that I've had a Celica since May of 1989? Well I have all the stuff related to that purchase as well. So yeah, I do have the sales brochure.
i used to have a tow bar on mine. 1st thing i did was take it off, left it by the road and was gone the next day lol and know iv learnt they are kinda rare, damn it!
My GTS came with the car bra with Celica embroidered on it. And a car cover, although the cover is aftermarket. It also has a tow bar, although I think that too is aftermarket...were cupholders an option or an accessory? I've got those as well.
Congratulations! You, Sir, have a Toyota Accessory. You are also the first person I've met that has a 4th Gen accessory. I may have met someone today that oringinally had the Toyota Intrusion Monitoring System.......they might have those pats lying around still. I'll post pics up if I ever receive any. That's crazy about the cup holders. But it makes a little sense. Toyota must have received a lot of complaints during the prefacelift years about the cup holders. Cup holders aren't exactly something most guys (guys were the primary demographic) think about when buying a car (Studies show it is the #1 concern women have, literally) and it would have dawned on them as soon as they had a drink in the car for the first time. But Toyota wasn't about to redesign the interior around some cup holders, so that explains why they stuffed them in such an obscure place. I always wondered why they were there. Now I think I know.
My car supposedly had that toyota intrusion system by the looks of the sticker that's still on the 1/4 glass. However, it was either removed by the dealership to negate that option or the original owner removed it due to it not working. I still have the original ASC Inc. sticker that denotes the car was modified by them for toyota in the coupe >'vert conversion. I doubt many people can say the still have that sticker on their car 20 years later
That looks so out of place on the 165, I have some where a toyota accessories brochure, with lots of chessy clothing shots etc.
that looks perfectly on place on that alltrac! See yourself driving on wintersport with your ski's on the roof !
Lots of that stuff looks positively badass..........I wish I had some of the part numbers for that stuff.
hahaha i wish i had that top rack. looks decent. i have a tow hitch, but it is not like the one in the picture. i want that trunk hard cover though too. that would come in handy over the rear carpeted seats in the hatch. hahahaha
That rear cargo holder for the hatch looks very handy, wish I had one. So cupholders weren't offered on the 86-87 celica at all? Guess mine were snagged from a junkyard along with the 88-89 rear windshield wiper motor.
