    buy or borrow...
I'm trying to diagnose the gremlins in my a/c... one of my assumption is that the magnetic clutch relay for the compressor may be shot... i cannot find one anywhere near my local parts store and since i am not sure if this is the culprit, i did not want to spend much and realize that the problem is something else...

so if you have a spare one that you are willing to sell for cheap, or if you can lend it to me so i can test it first, i will appreciate it very much! i'd prefer members that are state side.... thanks!

If you want I will sell you the relay and an Air Conditioner Amplifier
for the price of shipping from Canada which should probably be $7-10.

The relay is a normally open relay which means if it was just a switch
it would normally be in the off position. The difference between a switch
and a relay is one is operated by a physical force like a finger toggling it,
and a relay is operated by an electrical force.

A normally open relay should fail in the open or off position and your relay
definitely closes and turns the magnetic clutch on. The signal to turn the
relay on comes from the Air Conditioner Amplifier

So the real question is why is the Air Conditioner Amplifier turning on the relay
when the AC button is not pressed. If you performed the tests on the
Air Conditioner Amplifier harness that I posted and all the tests passed
then the harness is sending the correct signals to the Air Conditioner Amplifier

If the Air Conditioner Amplifier is receiving the correct signals from the harness
and the magnetic clutch relay is being activated when things like the AC button
are not pressed then the problem is definitely in the Air Conditioner Amplifier.

Thanks. I will retest the amplifier once more and make sure to test it one at a time and write up the values... let me know where to send the payment... btw, i have the auto a/c feature... will the amplifier you have be compatible? thanks!
