i had an idea for my wheels was just wondering if it would work out good or it will be to much drama??? my plan is to buy a 5X100 to 5X114.3 converter spacer ( http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 4761wt_905 ) and apply these super mad rims ( http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 264wt_1002 ) with 235/35/r18 it would be amazing if it worked out
Don't if it'd work out but, you've got great taste in wheels for your Celica. 5 Spoke and with deep lip? You can't go wrong on the looks! :cheers
the 12x1.5mm threads would work, just check if it's hubcentric. not sure about the measurements in our celicas
i think an 18x10 is gonna be way to big. even if you make the correct offset with the spacers your still adding 2in to the back of the wheel 2inches higher. youll likley run into clearence issues with the spring seat and fender.
235/30/18 would be the right size if you manage to fit the wideness by the way. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
It's probably gonna poke pretty far with adapters. You're gonna want fender flares or go widebody if you rock those with adapters. (Or more negative camber if you don't mind wearing your tires out real quickly. ) OR, you could redrill the wheels to 5x100 and then roll and pull your fenders a bit.
