I have an 87 celica gt vert. It's a work in progress, so it doesn't look the best right now. I'm hoping that with the help of this site, I can get it looking great again.
it looks dam good to me! well done! anything you need to know dont be afraid to ask, were all friendly folk here willing to help! welcome! im sean
first off...hit the yards and find a gt-s with a trunk and do the 3rd brake light swap....then you can also have the rear wing too.....give her a bath.......then add the mudflaps im gonna get for ya....lol then take more pictures of said vert and post more and moar. gotta love us.
ive never been fond of the light on the trunklid.......just delete it with a regular trunk or hit the jackpot with the oem spoiler looks real good.
well he says he has it but in the picture there isnt one on the trunk.......ask him....it will be a three piece wing..
Well I was gunna go check out the car tomorrow anyways to see if there are other parts I want to get off of it, so I'll check then
youll need the whole trunk so you dont have to do any body work except paint.....the holes will already be there for the spoiler and then you wouldnt have to worry about sealing up the holes from your third light.
but make sure you measure your trunk lid first....ive seen this done but havent actually done it....they should be the same trunk lid size.....but double check before you spend your cash.
welcome! see if he has the rear mud flaps for you too! as well as the trim that goes around the lock/power lock buttons, the picture on the craigslist post looks like he has it. even if you don't have it, it's a must have extra
Well I checked it out, and he had all three parts to the spoiler, but the trunk lid was smashed, so I just took the three pieces to the spoiler and the connector pieces. I also picked up some cupholders, which my car has really needed. Both of those for 20 bucks. So for the cupholders, how do I hook them up to my center console?
are they broken? check the two tabs on the under side, i believe i sent you a top lid that doesnt require any modding to fit the cup holders.......all they do is screw on with the same screws you use on the top lid.
The tabs are broken so the bottom of the cupholders swing freely but I figure I can fix that with a little bit of velcro tape. I haven't gotten the center lid yet so I can't test it with that. My old lid is gone, all I have is the black piece that screws onto the center console, but idk if the lid was original from the 87' or if it was an 88-89 one.
okay when your new lid gets the....those two screws that are holding that black part thats broken into your console are the two you need to use...and i checked the picture and its a match so you shouldnt need to mod anything. let me know if you still have trouble but it should be a straight up bolt in job.
