rear sway bar link, i need a new one. this one isnt the allen key type though http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rear-Swa ... ccessories
why? imo 1 new one and one old one is better than 1 old one by itself.. i dont have money for two(im broke as fuck)
replacing only one side would be a huge no no. it would make the weight distribution in the rear un even. uneven means handling cops a hit. it would also most likely put greater stain on the new end link as the looser one would be "bringing it down" causing the new one to where faster. as for link. the racing beat ones fit (expensive though), buy new ones and simply cut a small section out and reweld or make yourself a set or get mafix to.
damn...so i should just rock 1 link for now? my sway bar's just hanging not even attached to the strut right now...and about cutting it and re welding it, how short would i want to shorten it and does this just stiffen up the roll in the rear?
I wouldn't even drive the car if 1 is broke. If it is, pull one from a yard for now to make due but you will have to buy a new OEM SET to replace at once.
o crap i thought one was just worn out not completely snapped off replace that shit asap. Suspension all works as 1 unit everything needs to be the way it should be for it to work properly. handling, wheel allignment and tire wear are probably being effected in bad ways. as for shortening its hard to say how much you wouldnt want alot. The idea of it is to "pre load" the sway bar making them stiffer from the get go rather then a lil bit of slack and then BANG an ass load of kick back and makes the sway bar more effective. at the moment just concentrate on atleast replacing the dead one
ya so im gonna buy one so that i at least have 2 installed lol...then when i have the money, buy a new one for the other side
