white dots from rain

    As everyone nos I am Primering my Car... I no that this may sounds like a stupid question...
    Well lastnight it rained...... Well when i woke up this morning to go and work on my car I had these dots left on my car from where the rain had hit..... Is this normal? or do i need to get some type of sealer? anything helps.... Thanks

    you will sand your primer down anyways so as long as the raindrops didn't go right through to bare metal you should be fine. I would see what it looks like after a sanding

    the thing is that i am not going to be painting my car for a while.... I am going to be driveing it primered for like a month or so...... SO how fix the white dot prob. lol :D

  5. i have this same thing on my celica, my car is red "original paint" and i can't remove it. i see ugly white stuff on the car. it pissed me off!

    primer will absorb some moisture so theres not much you can do about it if you dont want to top coat it. i bet if you let the car sit in the sun the spots will go away. you can try 'primer sealer', its another type of off the shelf rattle can primer, maybe that wont give you this problem.

    not a good idea to drive around with primer on. Primer soaks up moisture

    Exactly - you need paint and clear to seal it up. Primer is very porous.

    The spots are likely just from dust in the air that collected in the rain drops. Just like spots on a car that is painted and cleared.

    What is the best thing that i can do. tell I get Around to painting it?

    just leave it be. Don't start bodywork or priming until you are ready and commited to finishing it by painting...unless it is going to sit in a shop until paint then you can take your time
