ok so i was checking out Ebay for some latest bargains and noticed a seller with a lot of ST162 parts up for sale, anyway I came across this one. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TOYOTA-CELICA-19 ... 240%3A1318 I have never come across this part on my car so it's definately not stock or i just haven't pulled enough bits outta my car, but where would this be fitted do you think? P.S. Rev_Head, If i decide to try and buy this and you outbid me, I will be so upset....

it is a stock part, my 162 came with it... sits in the front lip (valance) on the left hand side(your 162 will have holes missing on the left side to allow for it) and is meant to cool the gear box!
Maybe the previous owner ditched it when he put the GT4 front bar on mine, still i haven't seen it on many of the other wrecks i tear apart, is it something that's commonly ditched, because if i'm looking at where it goes correctly, it'd be great for making an adaption into a cold air intake.
damn, that would be sweet! You could def fab an intake duct on that. Probably need to add a bypass filter incase you scoop-up water, but that's about it :twisted: -K
Looks like all the cars will take it but I've never seen one on any of the 100's of cars I've looked at in NZ. Just like I've never seen a parking indicator mast on any of the overseas cars
