ok, so it occured to me, my egr is not like the others. My o2 sensor is located later on in the exhaust and the egr is front mounted and welded to fit. my heat shield matches so what do you think is on my car? new headers,jdm something or other?
might be a jdm ge mani take off the heat shield and see if the other egr hole is blocked edit thats fucked up by the way
I wish I knew the story behind this car... since the o2 sensor is later in the exhaust straight down from the intake, maybe it is a real EGR. could it be a JDM 3sge? what are other things what would give it away?
Someone put that on there to pass Emissions. It probably isn't hooked up just there for the looks. Get rid of it. Also get that gasket maker of that valve cover gasket.
that manifold is 86-89 which has the o2 sensor on the manifold....someones added that to your 89 motor for emissions testing, since you live in good old Ontario.... which means your car probably came from either the States, or Manitoba or Quebec perhaps?
ya, im just leaving it on there, its gotta pass emissions still and it managed to last time. Im just curious if its functional. Car runs fine on 87, gets good millage and has plenty of power so I think everything will be ok. p.s. gasket maker is very handy if you have a cracked valve cover because you do not have to torque it down hard to seal.
didnt you live in tisunburg area or something. I remember seeing that before. Im going to visit my girlfriend who lives there in a few days, but im taking a corolla there, cuz its not likly to breakdown so far from home. Id like to drop in tho and check out yours
It's nothing special, and tillsonburg is like 20 minutes west of me on highway 3, and I live right on highway 3 in Delhi
