No EGR I think is the major difference.

no egr, different exhaust mani iirc, and different ecu (fuel maps and timing i think)

 

JDM could run a little more agressive because they didn't have all the polution control stuff that the North American version needed to pass inspection in all the States. More importantly the fuel over there is higher octane allowing for higher compression and more advanced timming.

uhhh no. take pictures of the throttle body and on the right side of the vcs and right side of exhaust mani then maybe

 

I do believe its sitting ontop of the motor next to the intake.

BTW I had to pirate a hose clamp off your motor.

I've got a JDM gen 1 ECU, my car ran like shit with it and made 116hp vs 123hp on the ADM spec ECU. We're going to try playing with timing and run better fuel for the next run as we only did a straight back-to-back comparison, but don't believe the hype.
