What could be wrong?

Alright, after a year and a half of building my motor. I have everything ready to go and turn the key hoping it starts. Well, of course it doesn't so I start lookin for plugs that I may have forgotten to plug in and bought a new battery.

The problem is, the solenoid just clicks. The starter doesn't turn the motor over and the battery is brand new( just got it yesterday). Is there anything else that could possibly be the problem?

Thanks for your help, I really need to get my car running, its been so long since I've driven it.

when we went to comp test my engine the starter just clicked, til we realised that we had wired it incorrectly, so I'd say double check your starter wiring first. it may be different for a trac though

Thanks for the pointer, it wasn't the fact it was wired wrong. The ground wire? wasn't tightened down all the way.

Now next problem: The car turns over but it doesn't start. Now I know that it is either fuel or spark. Now, how do I get the rail to pressurize? I have a speed source rail with lines and an aeromotive a13109 and gauge installed. It reads zero though.

    Any help is appreciated.

tru jumping the fuel pump in the diagnostic port and see if it runs. your opening circuit relay may not be working/hooked up

Thanks, I did that and it pressurizes all the way to 36 psi, which is within BGB specs.

Now, the relay clicks alot but nothing happens unless its jumped :( Its plugged into the harness too. So, what could that mean? the resistor is toast?

Fuck wiring is a pain in the ass eh?? Don't give up though it seems like it's just a bunch of small problems, and once you get em all worked out you'll be fine!

To Zak, well now that I got the fuel to stop sprayin me. When I jump it, it fires but the ignitor wire is the wrong one for now (Have to wait for the new spark plugs to come in). It won't start because of that.

Now when I pull the paper clip out, the opening circuit relay? (the one on the firewall) clicks like mad but the fuel pump doesn't turn on.

To rye, yes wiring is hell in the alltrac. They're everywhere. When I get some money and time I'm gonna attempt to get another engine harness and rewire it to be more convenient and not all over the place.

ok so the relay is working, now run jumper wires to the grey connector at the fuel pump. connecct them to it and see if the pump turns on.

Okay, this grey plug you speak of, is it in the car or underneath? I can't find it...

Alright, well I haven't figured out the fuel pump issue but that is the least of my worries right now.

I cannot get the car to start still. I know for a fact that my cam timing was correct and my distributor seems to be right as it is popping and seems to be trying to start.

Anything anyone knows would be wonderful.

the grey plug is under the rear seat in FWD and under the rear carpet (in the trunk) in AWD.
