Hey guy's, I'm looking at getting some 3rd gen 3sge JDM cams reground for a bit more lift and duration but since I would have to adjust the buckets do you think it would be worth while converting to 3rd gen buckets ?How hard would it be as I've never attempted? This is for a 2nd gen 3sgte.
    Cheers, Joe

You must change: spring (commonly), retainer, shim, lifter. Work is the same as change valve seals.
Now in my project I am using in/ex cams from 2gen 3sge, (8.5mm lift) if you planning to use more than 9 mm (3gen 3sge MT in cam lift is 9.8mm) lift you must use shim under the bucket for safety reason, but yes you can use all 3gen cams on 2gen without modifications.
