Tvis - how do you know it's working ?

There is a significant push at 4200, if you rev it in 2nd from 2000, you should feel it.

 

my tvis isn't working i feel like the flaps are just hangin loose because i get the push of torque at 3500 and it's gradual

it's as if it's the intake air speed that's pushing the flaps open, instead of the ecu keeping it closed until 4200.

 

i did however drive a different gt-s than mine, and it makes more noise along with more torque right at 4200rpm

 

Take it apart, and look what's up there. You only have to buy a new gasket. Check if all the bolts on the flaps are tied properly, and air isn't going where it shouldn't.

 

it is on my list of stuff to check. it can't be too difficult to take apart

 

if I had my bgb on my I could post up the vacuum test, I wonder if its online somewhere

 

I have a '87 BGB at home I can dig through to find out.
