Toyota delivered this car the other day

id think in the NW the tc would be the way to go. ive rolled around the idea of buying one plenty of times, but the celica already takes the place of garage queen.

-I really think they need to offer the same options a jdm-ville. that way someone like me could buy a sub-base model, no a/c, unpainted bumpers, no stereo, ect, ect, and pay 4k less for it.

 

I think 200hp is more than enough for both street and circuit driving,and its not an heavy car...its all about balance!!!

 

to those waiting for FI for this car, GRMN has made a TWINcharged (supercharger AND turbocharged) 86, it's got 320hp and 310ft-lb of torque

well.....my sales person was pretty cool but no i didnt get to get aggressive with it, except bolting onto the freeway........it was raining and i did get the rear to kick loose once but he said if i did that again the test drive was over due to liabilities......the car was really responsive to the wheel and throttle. very short first gear i think, they should of made it a little bit longer.

over all its a snug fit.....im 6'3 and i had good leg room but i sit near the roof, just like in the cely....also found out i sit in the roof on the tc as a matter of fact too......


shouldve took a picture.......maybe ill go on another one with a different salesperson....maybe video it?...ill see

 

Got the confirmation today !!! I'm gonna drive in on a track next thursday !!!

so....I drove it yesterday !!!!

a few words that fit the car : Amazing design ! Incredible grip (thanks to electronics, not the narrow street tires ). Great feel when pushing the corners !

I drove it around a mini track and my instructor gave me aggressive hints to go as fast as possible, it seemed like I was the only one daring to go as far as he told me too . You only have 1 oppertunity so I pushed the car even a bit harder in round 2 and 3 so the tail gave way a few times. Not totally, but a bit only as electronic security stayed on .

It is a real great car and the only thing I have to admit I miss is the 50-80 extra horsepower to give it just that bit of extra when coming out of a corner and trying to break in the corner.

Anyways, a real cool ride and wish it were mine !!!

Well done it's a very nice car I am sure it a great experience for you to drive in it the one I say you drove was the black one that's why there is no tire's left lol.

 

Here's the problem - I showed my G/f these pics and guess what she said?
"So that's the new Prius hybrid!, where's the back doors?"

To make matters worse I looked up the new Prius and she's right, same style with 4 doors

I'm not a fan of rice but man that blue gen7 looks like it's about to take off and shoot down some stealth fighters
