It's carbs in there. Had a few myself, they are great for cruising and have a long 2nd gear but not much of a racer
True, as I said before I'm more a cruising kinda guy so its not really a problem for me. I will get some pictures of the interior and engine bay in here soon. This car also doesn't have power steering, something I really enjoy. Its got a nicer feel while driving compared to a car with power steering.
Some pictures of the interior: And a picture of the Celica on our way to the Dutch Islands, Texel to be exact:
Wow ! That is a super clean interior ! I love it ! A very basic Celica, no power steering or power windows. Are you enjoying it ?
Thanks! This Celica is as basic as it gets. I don't mind not having the power steering, I think it even drives better without it. Power steering adds a certain 'dullness' to the steering, it gives more feedback without. Power windows would be nice, but the Celica compensates with a sunroof The only thing I would like to have are some nice old skool wheels. Some Enkei or Work wheels perhaps. 14" / 15" Watanabes would also look good in black I think.
Yes, it's the original radio. It's a Clarion Model M622. Would love to get my hands on a period correct Alpine Cassette player though, but they are hard to find.
Nice T16 Sebastiaan. Reminds me of my own car which was a 1.6 ST at th beginning. And you're right about the power steering!
Thanks! I'm playing the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack on my tape player. You've got to keep the tunes period correct also!
The clothes and hairstyle aren't matching New toy for the Celica: It needs a new paintjob, but I've got the time because the Celica is in it's wintersleep now
I need some advice: I'm looking into a new set off wheels. Especially the Enkei Compe (15", 7j, et38 and 4x100). Tyres will be 205/50 R15 to keep the diameter as close to the original sizes. My question is will this fit without any compromises?
