I'm about 90% done with my hood. It was very annoying to spray paint the hood as it is a big piece. I think the spray rattle cans are for pieces that are a bit smaller. Next time I'll probably grab a spray paint gun at Lowe's or Home depot and hook it up to a compressor.

If you decide to go along with the spray can I would like to see how you did it :mrgreen

i did a write up in the how to section on getting good reults with spray cans
also you should be able to go to a car store (in OZ we go to autobarn or similar) and give them your paint code. they then put your color paint in a can for you

Thanks rev, i hadnt not thought of that one yet. I've helped do an entire civic rattle can flat black and i did some rattle can on some interior parts on my old 5th gen. When it comes to using a spray can i have always bought the nifty little attachment you can pick up at almost any store that sells spray cans that changes the flow from a circle pattern to a flat patter and this way your fingers dont get near as tired nor do they get much pain on them. If i decide to do it i will for sure get pictures of it step by step. and do a write up on it.

no I would not go for such choice go for the spray gun option on such a big part going to get better cover and no lines across where spray can will take for ever leave uneven paint pacthes .
