-if there just steelies no need to order them from australia. you should be able to order them from your local track supplier. you just need to figure out which shop locally sells wheels for "mini stock" class cars. or you can google mini stock wheels.

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

So a lot has happened lately, and my original intention was to surprise you guys with a major update. Unfortunately, things didn't work out as planned... :(

Anyways, 3 weeks ago, I down paid $1000 and sent my car off to a guy who lives 2 hours away from me to rebuild and swap a gen2 3SGTE into my car. ( He was only charging me $2300 for the engine, a full rebuild, and installation! Not only that, he also gave me a 3 year warranty on the engine! :byodood).

I waited eagerly for the swap, and made all sorts of plans as to what I would do once my car came back. It felt like time was going too slowly, and not seeing my car outside my house only made the wait more agonizing. Finally, the mechanic got back to me with some bad news...

While rebuilding, he found that his motor had unfixable cracks in the block and crank, and decided that he wouldn't swap the motor into my car since he wouldn't be able to back up his warranty with it. My 3 weeks of waiting had been wasted! :sad5 He said that he would make it up to me by fixing my overheating problems and replace some other stuff for $500. At this point in time, I just wanted my car back, and decided to just let him do all that stuff. (I saw it as a lose-lose situation for me since he already had 1000 of my bucks.)

    His comprehensive list:
    New timing belt
    Water pump
    oil pan gasket
    valve cover gasket
    intake
    exhaust gaskets
    spark plugs
    thermostat
    oil change
    coolant flush
    fuel filter
    air filter

He said that he would bring my car back on Sunday, so I'm now just waiting, and hoping that he is the honest person he claims to be... :colbert

In the meantime, I'm looking at new wheels, and am debating between 16x8 et23 BMW Style 5's and 16x7/8 et32 Advan SA3's. (gen1)
