Hey we just put 17's with 215/40/R17 tires on jeffs celica and when he goes around a corner they rub on the fender. What the hell I see alot of people with 17's and not rubbing. Here are the wheels Enkei CDR9 http://www.nyxracing.com/enkei-cdr9-whe ... ml?image=0 And here are the Tires Kumho Ecsta AST http://www.discounttire.com/product/tires/kumhh0.xl.jpg What you think. About the purchase. Also Telly_Celi is getting rubbage when corning. And she is all stock.
can u tell where the rubbing is on teh fender, when i got a new fender from insurance they put a bolt for the innershield that cause alot of trouble.
This was the dilemma I had when I upgraded rim & tires. In order to maintain the stock tire aspect ratio when upsizing to 17" its 205/40. I already had a set of 215/40 that came with the rim I bought, so I mounted them, and encountered rubbing. This was partly attributed to my tired suspension, which has since been replaced. However the car is running on 205's without an clearance issues, having been dropped 1" all the way around.
Im going to do the hammer thing because he just put on a brand new pro kit with KYB GR-2 all the way around. So we were also wondering how stiff do the AGX get at max stiffness.
