so my right tire is about 10 degrees off center outwards and it has been for a while. i decided ill do it myself to get it as close as possible. tie rods are still tight, should i get a fork or can i just hammer it out? and either way will i ruin the tie rod end? cars been dangerous for long enough :)

oh ya ill be using hand tools in front of my house as usual hehe

what the hell do you need to take the tie rod off for? just loosen the nut behind the outer tie rod and spin the inner one.

gettin a proper tool for teh second tomorrow :D just changing one tightened it up nicely

ok tie rods are in, a bit tighter and less scary but my steering still gets a little crazy at high speeds, going back and forth. any ideas? havent touched the ball joints yet but that doesnt make sence. could the inner tie rods be bad? what about control arm bushings? ;p

well im gonna at least get the tie rods adjusted myself close to center to see if it makes it a bit better, just to see if that really is causing the problem, but yes ill get an allignment :)

im guessing my strut mount being fubar may effect this as i just took the strut out and put it back on with the same blown strut and bad spring and kept the camber close and the allignment is off again hehe but ya some gasket like crap deteriorated so when i took it off its now thinner

Just out of curiousity, have you ever read any how too's with suspension? All of them say some where in there that ' Be prepared to get an alignment everytime you touch your suspension."

Your never going to get it right if you keep taking it apart after you get it close yourself. Just take it to a shop and get them to align the car. It costs the same whether its close or way out.

ya i know, i mean til i get everything together, im aware that touching the suspension in any way changes stuff :p just askin if the mounts could cause anything being off. ill get an allignment once i get my new mounts in, or never if its close enough for my liking :)
