The Boys are at it again! (15+ pictures)

its a weekend habbit to buy a new celica :twisted:

So, justins car (the red one with wild crazy interior) has needed a motor transplant for months now, well finally we found the perfect candidate.

88 Gt that had a Freshly rebuilt 3sge put in, the guy was in a BAD accident. like 75 miles after the install.

So we bought it off him for $400. well theres more to this story. it was a nightmere to get home.

we went and looked at it, was missing a wheel, the A arm was broke, Strut assymbly completely ripped off the car. the frame of the car and body Tweaked significantly. over an inch of gap abouve the passenger side door window

so we went back 40 miles and got my uncles 4runner. with the V6 5speed 4x4.

go to U-haul. guy behind counter says it will only tow a dolly (dolly with a car missing a front wheel? Riiiiiiight.. that sounds fun!)
so the superviser says it will do a 2000lb trailor no problem,
we rent the trailer.

so we finally get it on the trailor with 7 guys helping. had to use a floor jack and then sat it on a block. got it secured good.

Then, on the way back, we split up so i could go pick up Shantel(telly) and as im picking her up, My sister calls me and wants to know if the 4runner REALLY CAUGHT FIRE! huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh??????

so i get telly, we race up to Sylvan hill where we were told they were broke down, Sure enough, so we show up, Rob was driving, he says he shifted down and jeff heard a bad whining noise, so he shifts back up, and lost ground. as if it had no clutch, so they pull over, and justin noticed smoke, so they popped the hood, Flames shooting out the drivers side of the engine bay, they get the fire out but it wouldnt move. thinking its the clutch or transfer case, they call my uncle and hes on his way with the neighbors f150.

Then ODOT (oregon department of transportation) Incident response, shows up and helps, they tow the 4runner (while towing the trailer) up to the top of the hill. with a tow strap.
, We disconnect the trailer up at the top, and have odot pull the truck up so we can fit a rig into hook up the trailer.


And while im waiting for my uncle to show up and tow the trailer to robs house, They all ditch out on me :roll:
Leaving me stranded with a broke down truck and trailer not attached :roll:


Then my uncle shows up


We tow that back, Push the celica off the trailer, and go back up and tow the 4runner home



Come to find out, the towing capacity on the Runner is like 3500lbs, and the trailer alone weighed 2000lbs then 3000+ of car, and people inside the runner, The Rear axle went out. Fire was just oil on the mannifold while under load up a steep long hill. (not even relevent to the initial break down)

There we go! i see this shit all the time. lil rig tows huge rig...

but the 4runner couldnt! that tracker is towing atleast 6000lbs if not 7000lbs+ and the trailer with the celica combined is at most 5000lbs. cant tell me the rear end on the tracker is stronger. no way!

sorry. but my uncle is sayin he would of NEVER did it, even though he has before :roll:

 

We dont know WHAT it is, its got 5 lug wheels. but the wing says Gt, Its got a GE motor. But the Cluster is a 120mph GT cluster. i was confused as well. The Gts motor thats in it is not origenally from it.

 

Hey, I'm looking for a cable to pop the hatch, mine broke somewhere in the middle. I'd be interested in buying the one off the GT/GTS/All-trac/WTF if it's whole. Lemme know.
