Hey guys developed a problem with my car already lol. Need some help. After driving around town, going to where I need to go I turn off my car. When I come back my car starts up then dies. I have to pump my gas pedal like 20 times while starting it, then rev it to like 4 or 5 a couple times for it to stay running. What is wrong with my car is it the cold weather. I am freakin, I have only had my car less than a week. It use to run purrrrrfect! HELLLPPPP! :cry:
Telly welcome to the world of a 4th genner!!! As rye said it sounds like AFM, but other things can and need to be tested, like Cold start injector- just have Speeddemon unbolt it and you turn the key to the on position and it will squirt at you lol Do you have any check engine lights come on after you run it for a while??
mine does that when it's below 25 farenheit. and i don't have the afm. pumping the gas pedl actually does nothing until it's running.
Yeah will try throwing another AFM on there. And will check the cold start injector. Thanks guys see if it might me anything else.
I would check the idle air control valve, on my stang its dirty and causes intermittent hard starts when cold...
nah the starter wire problem is all electrical and wouldnt actually start it would click, if it turns then its something else
well when mine overheated really bad this summer it wouldn't start afterwards. now I dunno what caused that but if it was a safety feature for the engine in the car then maybe it's malfunctioning?
