Ok I keep reading the DIY for there starter trick and cant figure out for the life of me how to do this.

First can someone tell me exacly all the pieces I will need from part store. In lamance terms.

Second Explain to me like im a stupid idiot how to wire this shit up. Telly_Celis car has this problem and I need to fix it because Im tired of pushing the damn thing. And She can push it her self when she drives it.

Thanks guys Im going to go read it a thousand more times and try to make since of it.

    ok its rather simple,
    autoparts store
10 guage wire(1red,1black just the small pack 6ft or so will be fine), fog light relay(some know them as bosch relays) most should be able to tell what your talking about, spade terminals for the 10guage wire(that way they slip onto the bosch relay)(find a helpful person at the autoparts store and you can pretty much lay it all out on the counter) some form of connector to connect it to he battery, if you have stock battery cables you may want to get i believe a 1/4 ring terminal for the 10 guage, again a helpfull counter person can assist in figuring out which one you need.
and wire crimpers if you dont have them.

then figure out where you want to mount the small relay(its only about an inchxinch) once you figure out where youre gonna mount it then you can lay out the wire.

"The wiring diagram available at the12volt.com, goes like this Connect terminal #87 to 12 volt constant, #85 to ground, terminal #86 to the ignition side of the small wire, and terminal #30 to starter."

what this means is you run the red 10 guage wire from the + battery to the #87 pole on the relay(most all relays are labeled) then the black 10g wire goes to the chassi(or to negative battery cable) and the #85 wire

your starters factory plug(not the big one but the small one that is the problem) plugs right onto terminal #86(what this will do is when you turn your key to start it will ground out with #85 and make #30/#87 close(which allows more juice to flow through to the starter solenoid(hince the 10g)

then you take a red 10g wire and install it from #30 to the factory plug in on the stater(the small wire you removed)

hope this helps if you have any questions feel free to ask, i can get you a picture of my setup

Ok man ill try and explain it in a different way after reading it myself....

Go to the auto parts store and get a standard 12v relay...It should have four pins on the bottom side and they are numbered...85,86,87,30. Ok.

Now your gonna need to connect pin#87 to the Positive battery side. Use an inline fuse holder in between. This is just straight power ok.
Now simply connect #85 to ground.
Next you will connect #86 + #30 to the starter wires....
#86 will be connected to the ignition side(away from the starter)
#30 will connect to the starter side(ends at starter)

Throw a 30a fuse in the inline holder and she should fire!
Let me know if this helps! I hope it does!

I did it. I understood once I seen that there was numbers on the bottom of relay. I didn't get the terminal thing. But I did it to jeffs are and shantels. Works like a champ.
