So its spring time now, and its warm for once :). I want to start cleaning up my engine bay so first, i want to remove the cruisie control. Anyone got any suggestions, or even a write up on how to do so. BTW, my cars an 88 alltrac.

Also, i want to get rid of that damn huge ass battery. Any suggestion on how to do a relocation to the trunk. Has anyone even been nice enough to make a write up of it.

one last thing, what else can i remove to free up th engine bay, im open to suggestion.

could take out your AC system if your wanting to make the car lighter.

as far as trunk relocation I am not aware of any how to's but its a simple concept (i think lol) of getting the same grade wire (positive) and running it to the trunk.

    To Remove Cruise

1)Losen 12mm nuts from the throttle cable, at the CC unit, that goes from Firewall to CC unit. Then Remove End of Cable from CC unit

2)Losen 12mm nuts from Throttle cable on TB that goes from CC unit to TB. Just lay aside this will leave when you pull CC unit out.

3)Remove 3 10mm bolts were the CC unit is mounted to the wheel well.

4)Unplug the harness from the CC unit.

5)Remove vaccum line from CC unit and find a way to plug it or recirculate it.

    6) Remove the CC unit from engine bay. The cable that you disconnected from the TB well leave with it.

    7) Take the Throttle Cable that you disconnected from the CC unit. Install that on the TB. Be sure to adjust the 12 mm nuts so that you don't have it two tight and make the car rev too 6k when you start the car.

    8) Enjoy

P.S. If I forgot something go ahead and chime in.

The best way to relocate your battery to the hatch is to remove you AC first. Because when you remove the lines that go to the condenser under the dash and remove the condenser with it you will have two holes in the fire wall that you can plug up with these.

So you don't have holes in the firewall. and can run both to the rear. Then you don't have to worry about cutting the wires when going through the firewall. How to do it I don't know but yeah

if your relocating use thicker wire, dont make me get into the length/amps formula just make it bigger :)

when i relocated the Batt in the supra i just used some old welding lead (leed) and ran it under the car and used c brackets to hug it up close to the body and ran it up through the spare tire weep hole then just made a battery box out of aluminum and bolted it to the rear panel and then used some black felt to cover up the box its very very simple, use REALLY big guage wire though, welding lead is the best.

minimum of #4 just to make this easy for everyone and plus #4 is typical stereo cable and has an amperage capacity of roughly 150A. Make sure when you find a spot to put the ground(negative) you clean the paint off and then bolt it on. Use a No-ox between the connector and chassis. You also need to use the same size cable for the ground(negative cable).

    preferably bigger for the ground

from taking out my cruise in the process of my whole engine I think the vac line to the cruise just branches off the main line via a T connector. if you can get a straight one you should be good to go IIRC
