excellent brass replacements for the rubber factory ones. and priced fair.

  2. Great product, been using them ever since they came out with them. Make sure you order the right size cause they offer it in two varieties. Follow the instructions and lube the bushing with grease before installing them, this makes removing them in the future less of a pain. A little sanding and grease on the pin selector arm before attaching the cable as well. Often times Ive seen these bushings installed completely dry and guys wonder why there cables are binding or it so hard to shift.

Q? Are the bushings at both ends of the cables the same? Is it a good idea to swap out all four bushings? I imagine that the GT and the GTS cables are the same as the website just lists GTS bushings available in pairs.

    No.

The cable ends on the transmission are the same size (one upper, one lower). The ends that are in the cabin are clips (not bushings). One of them is just a C-clip type, the other is a cup with a clip. The GTS will fit, just make sure they're the ones that are almost the same size. There is another one they sell where the bushings are completely different sizes which will not fit.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I see on the SpeedSource site they don't list the 86-89 GTS, only the GT4. Will those still work?

The one where both bushings are the same size (the other "size" is when the two bushings are different).

Ok. So when I go to the website I choose the st165 86/89 GT4 shifter bushing. Because that's the only option I see for the year of the car.

    Thanks
