I just went on the high way with the celica today, and omg is it noisy. I was wondering what you guys have done or suggest to reduce the noise. Most of my soundproofing plastic stuff in the trunk has fallen off.
Also i dont want dynamat or even the cheaper stuff because it is still around $50 so lets try and keep it cheap.

Well I have never actually tried to reduce the noise since I like ridiculously loud stereos which have a remarkable ability to hide all the little noises your car makes.

I really don't know what you can do for less than $50 except maybe

Buy a lot of rubberized rockerguard and spray the shit out of the bottom of your car, avoid getting any on the exhaust or gaslines if you can.

My system creates these noises...lol i thought about putting the rubberized coating in the trunk because it says it soundproofs but i am not sure how effective.http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/p...211948&deptid=null&ctgrid=null&subctgrid=null
    or is that to poor?

If you spray that inside the car it will smell like asphalt forever in there. It is only really meant to go on the outside. I supose eventually it would be okay.....

Id be interested in making mine quiet too. I was thinking that using either carpet underlay with bitumen strip in the middle, on the firewall and floor would help alot, with the engine and road/exhaust noise. That and making sure the door seals are all good.

I sprayed the inside of my trunk with rubberguard and it was smelly for a couple of days but nothing that didn't go away.

I can take you all for a ride in v 2.0 and you will discover you have virtually no road noise in comparison :)
