I was wondering if the GTS seats came in brown? if so, i would love some. Aren't they bucket seats too??
I believe so if you can source them in good condition. I'm somewhat confused, don't you have bucket seats - I think you mean you just want the nicer GT-S seats :? My advice would be to grab brown seat covers for now if you seats are trashed and focus efforts towards other things. Besides, IIRC you have to re-drill the runners to fit GT-S seats or you need both GT-S runners and seats and re-drill the runners to floorboard. Someone else might be able to confirm that 100% for you since I have not personally converted to GT-S seats -K
yea, mine aren't buckets. just standard ones. only if i had those ones. it would be awesome! but, since it seems like a whole lot of work for two seats then nvm. thanks for the advice though. if i ever do come across a pair though i would snatch them uber fast.
I'd like to go aftermarket eventually (to loose some weight) which maybe a viable direction for you, but I haven't researched it enough to point you in any solid direction. Ballpark prices for the universal fit style would be: cloth 150+ each Synth leather 300+ each Real leather 500+ each Here's a random site you can check out for product info and then do further reseach to find the least expensive supplier. http://www.andysautosport.com/toyota/19 ... ing_seats/ Sorry, I didn't see any brown -K
Think I'm ahead of you on that one Here's two options - Convertible & modded ST182 Only brown JDM seats I've seen were in the AT160 and they were the plain Corona type
kevinkyang check it out. here is an sf craigslist add for one with them. enjoy! http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/1122890920.html
hey stig did the 5th gen seats give you any trouble someone told me they arent a direct bolt in and you sit lower in them
Yeah, and the 4gen rear floor mounts aren't level, you could use spacers but the bolt holes are further apart on the 4gen . I had to drill the front locating holes bigger and swap the rear mounts from the old seats as the 4gen brackets are longer as well. Pity I gave away the modded 6gen seats I had, never looked to see how they did it, probably the same as I'm doing. You could slot the bracket holes and use a spacer on one side but the test guys here are really childish about stuff like that and we have to pass every 6 months or get taken off the road.
