My front seat belt retractor has apparently packed it in - it doesn't retract the seat belt anymore.
Does anyone know if the front seat belts are interchangeable with any other Toyota models?

Don't know about interchangeable but I'm getting 4 point soon and I'll sell you my old one,

You guys might want to check, open up the plastic covering up the bottom of your seatbelt, it might be expired...

If its red and visibly says "replace belt" you should consider getting a new one both of mine say that, which is why I'm going 4 point but if you pay shipping I'll send you mine

How are those black lever's on the door well? They control the seatbelt's.....are they broken maybe?

Oddly enough, my driver's one is fine, the pax side is broken. But yeah, I tested that too but it didn't retract. I'll check the expiry date next.

Letze, thanks for the offer, I'll get back to you if I can't solve the problem.

Hey rick, why dont you go check out pick a part in Chilliwack. They'll probably charge you something like 10 bucks for it. There's two 4th gens in there.

Took my interior apart and the retractor is not functioning properly. Found someone with a parts car who's willing to give me the belt for free!

    Update:
Well, the free seat belt wasn't in the best shape but it'll do for now. It's better than a non-functioning seat belt anyways...

    FYI:
I ended up taking apart both seat belt units.
I used the good retractor and discarded the bad belt webbing. I swapped in my good belt into the "new" retractor. It wasn't hard at all, just thought I'd let anyone else know, in case they ran into the same problem.

mine has that problem where if you open the sunroof when it has water on it, it drips back to the belt making it all wet and hard to retract.
