So i noticed a bunch of posts on the board about the spray dye and having it come off on your clothes and what not. I spray dyed my seats and its never come off on my clothes. However if after letting it dry you let it sit without brushing it its will become crusty. Use a heavy duty brush(not a metal wire brush) and brush the seats out until they become smooth again. Heres some pics of the seats in my 165.

alright thanks. I might steal your idea on my seats if you dont mind.

Also, how would i go about doing it? is it just as simple as masking off? or would i need to dismount the seats and take the fabric off then restitch it back on?

I want to do my whole interior Black! swap carpet to black, then paint/dye all the seats, trim panels, wheel...

you want to start by taking them out of the car and then CLEANING the hell out of them, if you have access to a shampooer use one and then let the seats dry fully. Then just mask them off, i actually used duct tape becuase it stuck better than masking tape. Take your time maksing the seats becuase if they are done crappy it will be obvious. If you are gonna go 2 tone your gonna use about 4-5 cans of your dominant color and about 2-3 of your accent color. Do light coats while spraying them and 2-3 minutes between coats. Then once the seats are done take a heavy duty plastic bristled brush and brush the seats out until they are soft.

Better to remove the covers and have it embroidered on??

^Agreed. Embroidered would look a lot more professional than mask & spray.
