i honestly dont kone who put some voodo on me n my car but fo realz shits been goin wrong left n rite wit my car past month. First my axel showing signs that needs replacement, week n half ago my JDM engine started knocking at only 122000+ miles on it, n jus yesterday i was driving on tha highway from my cuzins crib to mine so i can go party up ( my birthday was on Friday, HAPPY BIRFDAY ME) n tha great state of Illinois decided to neglect the condition of tha highway, n i hit a pot hole tha size of texas n destroyed my front rim. Bent tha fuk outta it, was stranded for bout 30 mins then decided to drive on tha shoulder goin 20mph wit my hazards on to tha nearest gas station,which was 3 miles out while my car rumbled tha entire way. i didnt have a spare n outta everybody i kone n called, no body owned a Camry/corrolla to borrow a spare from. So after 20 mins of drivin i finnaly get to tha gas station, Was hoping that tha tire jus went flat from tha impact, so tried filling it wit air first to see if it would hold up, fuk no. So called my buddy from work (who also owns a tow truck) to pick me up. $70 from tha towing, n $30 for a used tire, n free steelie later, My car is running again, but still wit tha bad axel n knocking engine
god that sucks. on the flip side, i took pics of my motor for you and i also have a set of 4and 5 lug pizza cutters FS
Sucks man.... shit happens.... I remember when I blew a tire on my sunbird and drove on the rim back home cuz I didn't have a spare or cash for a tow haha
motor should have between 80K and 110K on it, ran great just needs a little TLC. no knocking or anything of that nature.
take the tire off, then get it beatin as close 2 origonal as possible, then fill the remainder with hardener wheel putty, or jb weld or something and a good seal could be obtained. BUT DUDE HOW THE FUCK DID U MANAGE THAT? i mean, a pot hole is one thing but FUCK
I was gon try that to hopefully save tha rim, but i highly doubt it'll withstand time. I knoe i still dont believe how much it bent, im tellin u that fukin hole must've been enormous n deep. n I-94 usually kept maintained n smooth, i dunno why it happened :shrug:
i actually saved a rim that was just as bad as that one. Just get a heavy hammer and bend it back into place as best as possible. Its worth a try...
Can you not sue to get the cost of a new wheel, mate of mine did this over here, and after few months got cash back for new wheel and suspension damage
There are places here where you can get a rim re-rolled (or something like that), see if you can find somewhere similar over there. It only costs $100 or so to get it done over here.
wait a minute, where you on a toll way werkit? cuz if you where they have to pay you for the damage. They also would of had to tow your car for free...
yea i was, i was on 94. i was thinkin bout contacting IDOT, but i highly doubt they'll do anything, fukin government loves takin our money n wont help in times like this, imma contact em to try, but like i said they prolly wont do shit. I agree they should pay for tha damage, i pay enough in fukin paytolls for them to recompensate me. Have u had an experience like this on tha tollway b4?
dude, you should of just pulled over on 94, called IDOT and they would of had to of tow it off the highway for free. Then you could of filed for a claim and they SHOULD pay for the damages. But i think its too late for that now, it would of probobly taken a long time to get the money anyways. I had a buddy on 355 get a flat and he didn't have a spare so IDOT towed him off the highway for free to tire place where he got a new tire.
