I can't seem to find the original 89 GT-S rocker panel covers anywhere. I though I was going to get a pair to purchase from a fellow member, but I have not heard from him in months. Is there an alternative, let's say another car that the covers are close and can be modified to fit?
Hello Donavan, Are you referring to the rocker panel replacements, or the side skirt trim for the GTS models? I think the ST165 trim also fits. I'm looking for the triangle piece of trim at the bottom rocker: http://www.todoautos.com.pe/attachm...1-vendo-toyota-celica-gt-s-86-tono_ceci-3.jpg Most part sites are quoting average $300 for both pieces. Thinking cheapest solution, is aftermarket 'side skirt', or just bondo over the holes, I noticed most google pics of 86-89 gts models the rocker trim is either bubbling from rust, or has been removed/shaved completely. Aftermarket side skirts both for $172: http://www.bodykits.com/Toyota/Celica/Body-Kits-Conversions/Side-Skirts/ #### http://www.toyotamcdonoughparts.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_product=43295315&ukey_assembly=5761405 75851 7585029175 MOULDING, ROCKER PANEL, LH; MOULDING, ROCKER PANEL, RH CELICA (ST162); (CP,LB); (GT,ST) ST16# $164.25 7585029175 75852 7585029175 MOULDING, ROCKER PANEL, LH; MOULDING, ROCKER PANEL, RH CELICA (ST162); (CP,LB); (GT,ST) ST16# $164.25 7585029175 ####
~FYI~ Earlier models might also fit, I just ordered (1976-1977 TOYOTA CELICA GT LIFTBACK ROCKER PANELS) off ebay for $100. the pictures appears to be the same size and shape trim as my '86 GTS ones. Hopefully they fit.
