ok how much wiering is inwolved in tho this, i have complete 2 gen engine with tranny and all wiering and want to put it intho a 4 gen..... is it yust pull the old instalation out and in with the new (I DONt THINK SOO) :lol: or is some rewiering needet ? and how much
mafix gave some info but for the most part [90%] it is plug in play..i can send you the PM if you want
The lower models (ST/GT/GTS) had a 5SFE the (ST may have had the 3SFE in it), but the ST185 All trac models had the 2G 3SGTE.
yeah the ST has the 3SFE. the only real diff. between the GT and GT-S is cosmetic stuff and power options.
MAFIX: 2nd gen GE from a ___ it should be nearly plug and play. the body harness connector will have to be repinned but that's it IIRC.
i have no clue..have to pm maf on that one, i gave up on my 2nd gen..the head was cracked when i got it.So i f you need any extra parts im your man [cept a head of course]
Gen 1 3SGE came out of 4th gen Celica's Gen 2 3SGE came out of 5th gen Celica's (JDM and possibly Euro, not AUDM unfortunately, we get the 5SFE aswell! ) Gen 3 3SGE came out of 6th gen Celica's (Once again JDM and possibly Euro) Gen 4 3SGE came out of LATE production 6th gen Celica's (Once again JDM and possibly Euro) Altezza/BEAMS 3SGE came out of Altezza RS200's (Probably JDM-only) Hope this clears up some confusion There is also the MR2 and Caldina's that the 3SGE came out of in different generations, but I'm too lazy to go through that :lol:
