I personally like them but I have read that Toyota decided against them because Datsun had used them on the 240Z. To me thats a lame excuse. If it looks good on the car then add them. The big advantage I see is that your keeping the sun off that huge hunk of glass in the summer time and personally I think theyt look cool on a car.

I doubt it very much you cant beat red and black.

That will have to wait until I get a rad in the car so I can drive it outside.

The ones you have, the "Shadow" brand ones look sleek; I would put them on my car. Very nice. Are they still available? The other ones look too bulky; I'm not a fan of those ones.

I lightened up your pic for a better look:

I just find the Celica styling too round for louvers. It also looks like the rear wiper can pass underneath, and it would probably look better if they fit tight to the window.

i thought about them. had a thread on it and possibly trying to get a deal going from some seller on ebay who had them for the 4 gens but they didnt want to cut us a deal. anyways they do look good. i am still searching for a spoiler that goes at the top of the hatch like on the 5 and 6 gens. man that would look sweet i think. i must be the only one. i need to measurre a hatch from a 5 gen to see if that spoiler will work on ours with no modding.

Unfortunatly I got the only set. The guy didn't know what gen it fit he only knew it was for a Celica and listed it with dimmensions of 39.5 wide at the top and 49 wide at the bottom and from middle top to middle bottom 31 so I measured mine and for the $130 he was selling it for I was pretty sure it would fit so I took a chance and told him that if it fit I could let people here on this forum know about them but he said it was the only one he had.

I have seen them elsewhere on ebay but they go for $250

Yeah I don't like the plastic ones either. This one at least looks like it fits the hatch properly and could have been OEM equipement, won't warp and it is hinged at the top so you can raise the unit to clean the hatch glass. Even has little rods that pop down to support it in the raised position.
