Who here has an all-metal, 2-row-core radiator in their Celica?
If you do, what is the trim level of your car (ST/GT/GTS?) and does it have A/C?

What does a 2 row radiator look like? I've got 2 SX's (GTS equivalent) ones auto ones manual, both have A/C so I can check them out for you.

The regular radiator is about 5/8" thick; the 2-row is about 32mm.
I found out that CSF used to make a 2-row, all-metal radiator for our cars but it's been discontinued :(

We cut it off and re-welded it about two inches lower.

^Did you put in the turbo coolant line too?
The Koyo 205 rad is aluminum, right?

Oh shit, I forgot all about this! Once my HSC exams are over in early November I'll go through my parts and measure my 3 rads for you. If you haven't heard back from me mid November get on my case! :D

    Ok.
I was looking to get my hands on a CSF all-metal, 2-core radiator for the 162 (part#836) but finally found out it too has been discontinued.

I don't have any welding equipment. If I go your route, I'll have to get a quote from a welder and details from you. IIRC, you changed the bottom mount locations too. Did you have to also add the sensor bung to the bottom pax side of the radiator?

no the turbos all have the sensor there. the mounts needed to be dropped 1.5-2 inches lower. damn near putting the rad on the crossmember. if you do do this i highly recommend the speed source alu bushings.

I have also been looking for a 2 row rad for my race car. You might want to check out one from an 86-91 v6 camry. They are the same size. But the hoses and bottom mounts won't line up. Those are solvable issues depending depending on your ability and/or wallet. The main benifit I see in these would be price as well as availability, both the new and used.

Dman_23: If the 86-91 V6 Camry rad has the same size core and dimensions, is it also ALL-METAL? (No crappy plastic end tanks?)

I'd have to get a radiator shop to modify the details as I don't have the equipment or expertise.

Well end tanks would depend on the brand I suppose. I think you should be able to get metal ones. As far as size goes, I know that the 4cyl camry rad is the same size as the celica rad. So that's what I am going by. Comparing the 4cyl rads the only difference is that the bottom mounts are in different locations.

On the V6 rad I think there is the same issue with bottom mounts. Also I know that the top hose goes to the left side of the rad (as viewed from the front of your car) instead of the right side as in the celica. I can't remember where the bottom hose went. I was planning on buying some exhaust tube or similar and a rad hose elbow to use as an adapter. Of course this is all just theory until I get the rad itself.
