I'm not talking about the WRC or IMSA racing cars, its more about that amateur or less known celica's used in rally/track/whatever! 2 rally celica's from Portugal! AT160 ST165 Its cool to see that they still racing with more than 20 years I believe theres more over the world, would bee cool to see more like these from other countrys!
These two are from Teamcaetanoracing, the oficial performance team of the portuguese toyota importer! Look at the toyota sports 800 in the background:drool5
Well here is some of my collection of photos that i found: This one was used at the 24hours of Nurburgring If i remember correctly this one raced at the 24h of Spa (Belgium). Didn't end the race tho: Dutch race car Some european rally cars: Sorry for the big post
I just spotted this thread so I'm a bit late to the party, but great pics DarkSupra, thanks for posting! The more I cars I see with the rally headlights the more I want to do it to my car :science2 Interesting, the two of this car are Australian pics (I pegged it from the VL Commodore in the background), I wasn't aware of any that had raced in Group A: I took a punt on it being the support race for the 1987 Australian F1 Grand Prix (trainspotter, moi? :hehe) so I looked it up on youtube, and here you go: (fast forward to about the 38 minute mark if you just want to see the Celi in action, or watch the whole thing if you want to relive some fantastic Group A racing)
Its awesome seeing a celica racing in a track, love it a lot!!!Too bad its only a few seconds but still cool!!!!Thanks for sharing Matt, and nice find!!!
No probs, thanks again to DarkSupra, I wouldn't have found the vid if not for those pics. You can see the car going through the first couple of turns at the start of the race, then it crops up when the leader overtakes it at that 38-ish minute mark, then it gets a bit more air time over the last couple of laps.
