I apologize if this has been answered many times, I just was not able to find it on search. Ive read a lot about a lot of other things but I am not sure on this particular.

Question is: Does the st162 whole Power Steering system interchangeable with the st165?

Reason I am asking is because I have a 3rd gen 3sgte swap in my st165. Car was a full track car and a lot of things were taken out. I want to put back Power Steering. For the most part everything is still there now. I just don't have the hardlines near the fire wall and the upper left hand side for the other hoses. If it is I will be so happy knowing the fact that there a lot of st162's at my local pick your parts :).

Yep, the 162 and 165 PS systems are the same.
However, I'm just not sure where the PS pump mounts on the 3rd gen 3SGTE motor.
If it's the same location as the 1st gen 3SGTE, then you should be good to go.

awesome. Thank you so much. I think from what I was told, I need to transfer or swap out the lines from the 3rd gen power steering pump with the first gen pump line.

the rack and pinion have differences but are swappable if you have the hard line set from the opposite car.
