   so I know I have asked this question before but I dont remember the answer as it was a few years back on a different car...i think im fucked
   
   while driving at a constant speed if I push the gas down to hard the engine just revs up and I dont accelerate any more....clutch fried?

   yep, time for a new clutch.
   just did mine less than a month ago, not too bad of a job, it could be worse.
   get the flywheel resurfaced too.
