well since i sold my nice wheels I thought id paint my stockers with pics all over the place

    Required
    -Wheels
    -Water + soap
    -Towels
    -steel wool
-sand paper (some low grit and some 400wetsand)
    -Wheel Paint
    -Wheel Clearcoat
    -Tape

    1. Remove wheels from car
    2. Remove Center Caps
    3. Use soap/water/towels to clean off the wheels
    4. Use steel wool to get the corrosion off as much as you can, rinse
    5. Use a heavy grit sand paper to score the wheel and take off more grime I used 40 grit, rinse
    6. Use the 400 grit and wetsand them to get ready for paint, rinse and dry to get ready for paint
    7. Tape around the wheel as much as possible so the whole lip can still be painted
    8. Shake paint, apply thin coats. I started at the bottom going from left to right right to left until i got to the top letting go after each swoop then starting away from the wheel. then I started from the left and went down to up so I was sure to cover everything. I waited about 10 mins after each coat.
    7. After about 3 or 4 good coats I switched to clearcoat in the same fasion as before waiting at least 10 mins for each coat and did about 5 coats. Let dry, remove tape, then reinstall!

i like it better the same colour. that metallic is def not something you see everyday and it looks nice so u might wanna stick with that (and it would prob b less work then painting the rest of the rim black)

I didn't realize you could buy specific wheel paint. Is it just a spray bomb? any auto parts store carry it?

I used legit wheel paint form duplicolour on my new rims, and it flacked off in winter, redoing the rims with trust black rustolium. Just kicks ass in general.

Nice DIY, but I just want to say painting your rims the right way and only the right way to advoid chipping and flaking is to powder coat it. :D For little cash this works too :D
