Yes, you have to the calipers off to paint them. Clean them with a brush and some degreaser, and paint them with a can of engine enamel paint or similar.

Most people paint them red, but i dont know how that would go with your colour sceme?

When i paint my calipers, it wont be while they are on the car. To do a good job its better that way.

If your just going for looks then you don't really have to remove them but if you want to restore them them you'll have to remove them to do them properly.

Either way a really good degreasing and then use a high temp paint. Auto parts stores here in North America would carry special brake caliper paint. It is suposed to be a bit better than engine enamel, more resistant to chemicals like brake fluid.

Just unbolt the calipers from the back of the thingie and hang them from a wire from the strut tower. Then clean them good with a wire brush and some brake kleen. Mask off all the wheel well with paper or cardboard and spray away. It will need 2 or 3 light coats to cover properly.

Most people paint red because expensive performance calipers usually come painted red.....its just for the visual really. Red calipers go with almost any color scheme as well.
