Hey guys so my oil pressure gauge is flat lined (shows no pressure)

I've picked up a new Oil pressure sender and installed it. Still no luck. (is there a specified torque for it? i couldn't find any info on it)
So i tried starting the car with the wire not attached to the oil pressure Sender. The gauge topped out
I then re attached the wire to the oil pressure sender, and the gauge went up for a little bit (it went from Below the L to the start of the white bars) but after about a minute it dropped back down and stayed down.

I am pretty sure the issue is in the wire going from the Sender to the gauge. I am going to put a new connector on the Send end of the wire and see if that fixes the problem.
If that doesn't work i am thinking of splicing a new wire that will run to the sender.

I am not sure were the best place to splice the wire in would be. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Aslo does anyone know which wire (colour/location) i would need to splice into?

or do you think the problem is with somthing else

I couldn't find a torque spec for it either. I also think it's wiring and/or connection problems due to the heat in that area. Check for corrosion too. I had to rewire my sensor b/c the wire was all frayed and brittle. It was only held on by a few strands. It's a confined area to work in, I just spliced it in as far back as I could go on the harness.

*Obvious question: There is enough oil in the engine, right?
