have a really bad oil leak, dripping dead center of engine, the leak is drip drip drip to the point car ran for 2 mins and had a puddle 5 inch circle im thinking rear main seal, i always had a leak but not this bad, car sat in garage for winter and all sudden seems way worse, cars got 221k, thinking of dumping sealer in to see if if helps if not looking for lower mileage engine, if im gonna rip tranny off should just go all the way:banghead, its a shame cuz engine runs good just smokes sometimes, prolly got some more beating left... any thoughts would be good
my car has a main seal leak, it leaks about a quart a week, check that, you have to pull the engine to fix it, and im planning on doing it this summer
sounds like the rear main to me. you've checked top side and it's not leaking from the valve cover or distributor seal?
