I can't find an aftermarket supplier for the 3" rubber 'O' ring that goes under the distributor cap to seal it against the distributor body. Is it a dealer-only part?

    try this place

    Viton® O-Rings

    ORV-041 3" ID 1/16 thick $2.35
    ORV-151 3" ID 3/32 thick $2.90
    ORV-234 3" ID 1/8 thick $2.40

Thats assuming it's 3" ID but they should have one to fit your needs

I tried Lordco and Crappy Tire but no luck.
For the few bucks, I'll just go to Toyota since the part number is posted.
    Thanks guys

It's for a 3s# engine so you can use it for either your 3sge or 3sgte

ahhh its good to have family that work in the parts dep at my local toyota dealership. discounts are nice, along with the free oil plugs gaskets, various bolts that are in stock, red antifreeze, free tire mounting and balancing, etc... but i dont abuse it...

I ended up using a big generic runner 'O' ring from Lordco.
It's about 2.75" in diameter (the dizzy cap is 3") so the rubber stretched a bit and it fit perfectly. It's $1.25 but Lordco gave it to me free.
Part number is 54149, made by Dynaline.
    Thanks guys
