Hi team, I doubt if they are related but literally at the same time my mechanical speedo quit working and the overdrive light started flashing ... The cars is an '87 GTS... It seems to be shifting fine thru all the gears and does go into overdrive smoothly. I've serviced the Trans regularly and a few years ago installed a Trans cooler. I'll check to see if the small upper speedo cable has snapped. Would there be any correlation between the two issues?? Vicdat
I finally got around to pulling the bottom section of the speedo cable and sure enuf it was snapped. So back to the boneyard ... Vicdat
