No reverse, usually....

    Gday everyone,

Mate just bought an ST162, great condition in pretty much every way - no leaks, good compression, drives well, good clutch also.
Only issue is that reverse is a PITA to engage.
Sometimes though, it will engage and will consistently engage for a while.
Other times it will not, and grinding will ensue.

I've had a quick look at another thread here about reverse issues and noted down some solutions presented there by Stig.
I've also checked the other pages regarding gearboxes.
I don't have a service manual for the car though (I work on KE70's mostly hehe)
I'm planning on doing fluids and filters for the car and wondering if I should be looking for anything.

What I am curious about is what can be adjusted for the time being.
I noted that reverse is on its own shaft. Could this be adjusted/tightened up?

Would appreciate any input on this :auto
