well came very close to taking out about three cars today.

well this how the story goes, last night on the way home from work i noticed that my brakes were actin funny, i ignored it because i know i need new rotors and pads. well not 10 mins later come to find out i loose almost of function of the brakes, pedel just goes to the floor. I happely made it home without any wrecks and while parking slamed into the curb (DAMN IT) . well this morning givin the loyal worker I am I decided to try to make it to work. = BAD IDEA. right after i pull out of the housing park i live in i dicided to test the brakes, well the side road that goes to the main road is just long enough to hit about 40 before you have to slow down, well i got it to about 30 and come to find out the brakes work just enough for the pedal to it the floor and then lock the tires up. so that is where i almost went sliding into heavy traffic, thank god for E brakes and 180 power slides, i decided after that, that i was going home and the car is gonna sit till i fix it.

i am almost certain it is the brake booster that is causing this. but i could be wrong so let me know if you think its somthing else!!

no it's not the booster. you have a fluid leak somewhere. my guess, because you know you need pads and rotors, is that they have fried a caliper. it should be easy enough to find at any rate. just find the leak.

They dont use salt in oregon... and the car has almost zero rust.

It sounds like youve got air in your lines somewhere. Replace your brakes and bleed out the system.

well replace the bad brakes that you know you need but if the pedal still buries to the floor you'll need a master cylinder. suspect a leak in the master cylinder between the primary and secondary cups.

well no problem in the brake system as far as i know now. the wheel bearing went out causing the hub and and hub assembly to break and also snapping the axle. the wheel basically fell off the car, luckally i was only going about 2mph. I have been told that when the wheel bearing goes out it will give play on the brakes and can cause the brake petal to go straight to the floor.
I had a feeling it was not the fluid because when i had the new suspension put on my brother in law and brother blead the brakes.

    thanks for the help guys

interesting.... the bearing problem and brake pedal travel dont go together in my head...i may be wrong

i had a wheel fall off while test driving a beater, it rolled until some guy on the ropad stopped it haha no insurance and no wheel that was a fun day

well i still have not got the car totally fixed but it seems like the brakes are the same so when i get done fixing it i wil bleed the brakes and see if that helps if not then i will be getting a new master cylinder.
