So I just picked up another 87 Celica ST Coupe, 3S-FE Auto (Gay) running with light body damage yesterday. And im happy =). Only paid 750$.

Now, before I get into swapping I want to get the body done. I need another rear bumper and front lip or front bumper. And I don't know where to get one, I will be going to the junkyard tomorrow and checking out the classifieds tonight though =).

    Here's some pics of her.

So here's my 87 ST Coupe

^ Glad Kevin chimed in - he was originally missing the strut bar also, so he can tell you 1st hand how much different it is w/ and w/out.

yea man, the strut bar helps out a lot. if it doesnt bolt right up when your car is on the ground jack it up and put it on stands. it loosens the your front suspension a bit so that you can get it on. give it some love if and make sure it goes on. but yea, feel free to check my car out too dude.

try to get some JDM side indicators too. i have that on my ride. look stig up and see if he still has the corner lights for your year.

and if you want the hid conversion you have to get the converted lights so that you can install the right bulbs in too. i also have that on my ride already too. well, anything you need just let us know. we'll see what we can do for you.

Now that's cool. Ty allot yall. I will defo have to ask around. Which trust me, when more money becomes available to do more things. I will be asking tons of questions forsure =P.

Cause myself am a Nissan guy, going to Toyota's cause im tired of Nissan's..lol Time for something knew. And I need new knowledge so I will.

So there so much talk about this front strut. Anyone selling one on here that you could link me too? Im going to the local wreckers tomorrow to see if I can find that and a lip. And im gunna just buy a new front bumper. But if I can buy one off of someone on here and you can link me just let me know =)

i think it might be a little cheaper if you get at the junk. unless some gives it up for free. but then there is the S&H though too. good luck looking for your parts dude.

Pity you guys are so far outta town,
I have spare everything at the moment, the place is looking like a Celi scrapyard and
no-one to share it with (even Sambo seems to have dissappeared)

There's hope tho, I saw another TEMS FE auto recently (also grey), and last week an older lady
    driving a stock blue 162.

It's good to see new guys here and hope to see them stick around
Take care of the important stuff first, no point in polishing a turd I say - all you get is a shiny turd!

My new car is in 1 000 000 pieces for exactly that reason, the previous guy dumped it cheap coz he couldn't
keep up with all the problems and it's the same with most cheap cars.

oh man, if S&H wasnt a beach then i'd get parts from you left and right! i'd go all jdm. motor n all. also, still looking for a brown dash! :p

So I went to the local wreckers today looking for

    Hood Adjuster's
    Front Spoiler
    Trunk Hinges
Bolts for the starter cover plate
    And the Front Strut Bar.

There were only two celicas there. One was completely fucked up. And one had almost everything.

I ended up getting the bolts I needed for free, the adjusters for free and I got the front strut bar =)

Best thing I only paid $10.50 for it.

Strut before paint. Looked too banged up to keep silver. So I said eff it and did this.

This is the front strut after black paint. Which cost me only 1$ (=
    [IMG]
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And here it is looking sexy
    [IMG]
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I also took the time to take off the rear bumper and fix it. You can clearly see where it was at
    before.

Well. That's what I got done today. All in all.. Im happy with the strut..you really can feel the difference.

Downers of the day though, I need a new fuel pump, like asap. Like I said this is my daily driver.
And my DD almost died on the way home..Fuel pump is whining like a baby.. So ill change it soon,
so sorry Stig. No JDM markers for me next me -sigh-. Im also going to change the fuel filter too
while im at it. Probably do a whole tune up.. Ill know in the next couple days.

Good move dude, the yards and ebay are your friends (hope we are too)

    Friends:
Family you get to choose :)

Concentrate on the stuff that needs doing, go back and drop a tank for the pump -
its the rear one on the tank, or just swap the whole tank

Filter is cheap but a pain to swap, loosen the pipes 1st, fit the bottom one before bolting it
down and you should be OK

Can't just do a fuel pump swap from the top middle of the rear seat?

  15. Stig

    Stig ST162 Guru Donated!

You can only get to the fuel sender, - pump is further back
    sorry

Tank drop is easy once you get the pipes off and a jack under it

Ohhhh, ok cool. Thanks allot for the info. Too bad I just got a full tank of gas when I got the car huh..LOL

So now im gunna have to like, buy 4 gas cans..bleh

Remove the rubber fuel return line where it attaches to the metal return line next to your filter,
fit a hosepipe over it and turn on the ignition, can't remember if it needs to be running.
You can now water the garden (saves mowing, weeding) or people you don't like

Or you can remove the plug under the tank and do it the messy way
(1/4 in square drive, no socket required)

surprising how the strut bar can change the entire look of your engine bay and the performance too! you seem to be working on it fast. good luck.

Hell yea im working on it fast..lol

Getting a new fuel pump tomorrow..and it will be fixed on Saturday morning. Im really hoping that its the problem and not something else it could be.
