My '87 Celica GT

Hey guys, I'm new here. I've had this car for 5 years now but been in the garage all those years until end of June, got it on the road for the first time...well for me at least and yeah I'll have to say I fell in love with it. Bought it for only $100 including a brand new engine...nice deal eh. Only problem was it was smashed up as shown in the picture below and $3000 on repairs as it was parked a bit too long. It's actually parked for the winter but hoping to get it back on the road really soon..before the month ends hopefully.

Some pictures of the interior, and ya the KMs are pretty high, it's up to around 245,000 in only about 5 months of driving it, can't you tell I love this thing! :lol:

That's not all, after 2 months I decided to make it look even better by adding a 17" Voxx rims and speaker/bass system. Costed me only about $1100 CDN.





My plan so far is to get a new muffler, hopefully replace the sunroof to a window style (like current cars) if that's even possible. Oh yeah, new body color, and new euro reversed style gauges thing with KM style not MPH if that's even possible..but those are pretty much out of the picture right now 'cause I'm not exactly rich, plus I'm moving so yeah..the money's dropping

Yeah I was looking through all the celicas, I guess I'll have to agree with you on that. I have a feeling it's custom color, the previous owner probably had it painted before he got rid of it.

 

Aww crap, I have no idea where I got that pic of the celica with the wing from. I don't have any spoiler except for the one attached to the celica..fixed the pic. Sorry about that. I didn't even like that wing :lol:

I'll be sure to keep up with you guys if i need something as it's hard to find parts nowadays for this car. I went to a toyota dealership for a new rocker panel (the black part on the bottom side of the car) I'm missing the drivers side, came without any after being smashed up so ya I'm outta luck. Anyways the toyota dealership said that they had none and had to order from Japan for some insane amount of $$ :shock: Not worth it!

What do you think of a orange celica? I've always wanted a orange car but not sure if it'll look good on my car. The lambourghini orangeish color..not like some ugly oranges if you know what i mean.

Few choices would be orange, yellow, black (like youds..that looks sweet..just need black rims).. not too sure..don't think i'll ever change the color with the lack of $$ I have but just some stuff for me to think about when i get the $.

 

ya i've seen an orange celica but it's a coupe not hatchback. It actually looks good but not sure if it looks good on my car as it's still in a plain shape..no body kit or anything. Like that yellow one, the 2nd one didn't look as good as the 1st one 'casue of the body kit. And that orange one in the car domain someone posted looked horrible, didn't like that one at all.

 

That's the celica I was talking about.. that's exactly the orange I wanted..

 

lol yeah, i don't really like the wings on it and how it's a coupe. I wish I could see a hatchback like that..now that'll be kinda sexy...i think :lol: Need to make sure the rims look good with the color too and the tinted windows.

 

Sure that'd be awesome. I've tried but I'm not exactly an expert with photoshop :roll: so that'll be appreciated..thanks man.

 

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around in forever! I haven't been using my celica much since as the winter time went by and it's a summer car. Plus I just bought a 05 Nissan Altima 3.5SE a couple weeks ago.. black on black. The car I've always wanted and when it came to my work, I just couldn't turn it down so yeah I own one now, so damn happy, and broke! :lol:

There's no updates on my car now though, except that it just reached 250,000 km, and considering racing with it on a drag strip at some point as soon as this weekend or next, but with my old ugly green rims and tires. My work had 3 people dragging with their mustangs this past weekend, that was awesome, so I might join them the next time.. eventhough I know I will be watching the cars drive right by me But hey, gotta have some fun! It will be also my first try on a drag race ever, should be fun!
