    Hi everyone.

I thought i'd post some pics of my setup. I've been working on it for over 4 years now. It's almost the end of the project. I've done 98% of the work myself. (the rest is machining shop lol)

I've been very busy with CEIKA for the last year, and going overseas a lot so it hasn't progressed but i will have some time and all the bits finished soon hopefully.

    It's a 1987 JDM st165 #1587 out of 2500. 130000kms on the chassis.

I've rebuilt my 1st gen 3sgte to stock specs + ARP head studs (new OEM pistons, head gasket etc..). The engine is 5000kms old.

It started as a personal project, but it's gone too far so i will be using it as a demo car for my company CEIKA (http://ceikaperformance.com)

    ENGINE/TRANS:

    - GT35 turbo oil cooled, 0.63 exhaust housing, full 360deg journal bearing one.
    - T3 manifold, external wastegate.
    - 3SGE intake manifold
    - custom cams 273deg/8.9mm intake and 265deg/8.7mm exhaust
    - 3" front bumper exit exhaust with Varex canon muffler (adjustable volume)
    - custom NST alloy crank pulley. (underdrive and only 1 belt thick for the alternator only) (no A/C, no P/S)
    - Mocal thermostat plate with 19rows oil cooler and 13rows trans cooler.
    - Honda Civic Bar and plates 60mm rad.
    - Moroso oil pan

    - St205 rear diff and st205 gearbox
    - Carbon fiber 1 piece prop shaft
    - Stage 4 unsprung clutch with light flywheel. (probably have to change that soon)

    CHASSIS:

    - fully stripped. FULLY! lol
    - fiberglass doors, bonnet, fenders, rear hatch.
    - carbon fiber gt3 seats
    - Lexan windows
    - complete roll cage build starting soon

    - solid engine mounts
    - solid rear subframe mounts and diff mount
    - poly bushes everywhere
    - uprated swaybar links
    - rear whiteline sway bar
    - CEIKA Type 1 coilovers 8kg/8kg springs, front and rear camber plates.

    BRAKING:

    - CEIKA big brake kit 8 pot 356mm front / small 6 pot 356mm rear. With full-floating 2pcs slotted rotors.
    - new brake line routing from front to back
    - floor mounted pedal box and bias bar. (manual brakes)
    - hydraulic handbrake
    - need to get some 18x9" wheels in order to fit 275mm tyres. (got some fender flares lol)

    FUELING for E85:

    - 1600ccs top feed Siemens low imp injectors
    - dual 044 fuel pump setup with lift pump, surge tank and fuel cell. Braided teflon lines everywhere. Returnless.
    - Devilsown water injection kit with progressive controller. (D03 nozzle pre turbo, D04 pre TB, 250psi pump)

    ELECTRONIC:

    - J&S interceptor safeguard
    - Megasquirt 3 ecu. Fully sequential injection and ignition with COP.
    - 14point7 wideband o2
    - new wiring / stripped wiring / 3kg battery

The goal is to get below 1000kg and power i will see how it goes but around 700hp max. This engine will not last long and wasn't meant to. It's just to test the setup i want to run. And in the same time, see how long a stock fresh engine can last. :)

I had the car in Australia for 3 years, then shipped it to France when i moved back.

Those pictures are from before, the car is in pieces at the moment as i will start building the roll cage soon and then full sandblast and respray with OEM white paint inside out. Once i have all the fiberglass panels on. Then put it all back together with all the parts above. There is a huge lego in my garage look. :-D

Here is a video of it the day before putting it in the container to France. PS: the car is hell dirty, after 6 months of work on it lol http://youtu.be/n8KJWSXGAYo?hd=1

I will keep you posted soon with more to come!!

    Thanks guys.

I'm in Japan now for work. The shaft is at home, it's very nice piece and the weight difference is crazy compare to stock but i haven't installed it yet. it's rated for for more torque than anybody will ever run on our cars lol The car was still running the st165 gearbox and diff on the pics but there was a lot of play even with the solid diff and subframe mounts. The stock diff was actually bad i think.

Those wheels are 17" on the tow truck (will sell them). The one before all black were 16" (sold). But i need to get some 18x9" wheels in order to fit 275/35 tyres and 356mm brakes. I have some +7cm flares to go on there as well.

I will need low ET, so i'm thinking of getting some Rota GTR with low ET and some spacers/adapters to go 5x114.3.

I've had the Type 1 coilovers on for a while but i might sell them too as we've developed some new shocks with 6061 alloy threaded bodies like the Ohlins and that will help in getting less weight. Also want to run our inverted ones in order to reduce unsprung weight with those massive brakes on.

I'm going to start the roll cage build this month hopefully. And then putting back everything together. I will redo a new wiring too and the interior will be more stripped than on the pictures too. I need to custom make the roll cage as i'm very tall and i bought the pedal box to get a better driving position and move it further back too.

For the brakes i still haven't got them. We are always developing new features and it's not going to be until a few months until i get the brakes on. I would like to have some carbon ceramic rotors available so i'm working on that option for our customers.

Also i still haven't decided the wheel size. Since it's the demo car, i want to have the latest and biggest setup on it. So i want to get some wheels first then check templates as i will run some very wide tyres and don't want to get wheel spacers twice. Not only it will be crazy fast but i want to get some serious negative G figures under braking. :-D

Also I don't know what crazy idea will come to me so i will wait until i need them on. lol :)

About the prices, it's all on the page Matt posted above. You can select options and add to cart then preview shipping cost. Unlike other brand we just charge the right price and the price doesn't become exponential if you choose bigger rotors and calipers. Also prices are cheaper compare to quality due to our business model, we build to order and have little stock and no distributors.

Also take a look at our spare parts prices on our website. We don't make any margins on them. I just hope people will realise that our brakes are quality and cheap to maintain then buy a new set when they change their car no need to sell spare parts at crazy cost. Especially brakes they don't need to be serviced that often at all.

Lone wolf> It might sound like a lot of cash, but when you do everything by yourself you save huge bucks. Also most of the money that went down the drain is from changing setups and double or triple upgrading parts as the goal gets crazier. (for example the clutch kit, i know i will have to get some expensive dual or triple plate kit very soon. Unless the car is so light that it just goes instead of slipping it.) lol

If i have to give one advice it would be: plan your build and stick with it. Even if you plan 500hp the first time. It will be cheaper than planning 250hp then 350hp then 400hp then 450 hp etc... lol :)

We are going to release carbon ceramic rotors upgrade for our kits very soon. Still working out some details.

Carbon ceramic brakes on a 87 celica, you'd have to be nuts right? :drool

Those carbon ceramic rotors are from the same maker as RUF cars. And it will be the cheapest carbon ceramic kits on the market. Over 400 000km lifespan, longer pad lifetime. Huge decrease in stopping distance. And over 50% to 60% less weight! Which on BBK makes a massive difference for unsprung weight and rotating mass too.

I'm still waiting on agreement from a reputable pad maker for carbon ceramic rotor pads as i want very good pads for those rotors and CC friendly too so they don't get worn out prematurely. The pads need to go to temps up to 1300C (2300F) as the rotors can go a bit higher. Standard track pads are good for 800C.

I received the fiberglass hatch and lexan windows as well as roll cage finally! Still waiting on the doors. But i have been too busy and didn't even have time to unpack. I'm in Japan for work right now.

Also i (properly) blew up the sr20det in my daily s14 so i have a 2jz-ge vvti + turbo swap that i have been working on. Should be finished end of March. I will be testing the no intercooler + e85 setup from the gt4 on the 2jz while finishing the gt4 chassis to get ahead with the testing.

really nice car, I love the slim GT4s, I imagine they weight quite a bit less then our body kitted USDM alltracs

    The car is making 700hp?

  15. MXP_57

    MXP_57 Member

Thanks. A bit lighter yes, they don't have ABS too.

The car is making 0hp right now as it sits in boxes on a shelf pretty much lol.

The goal is 700(b)hp not awhp. I think it will get there with that setup, but for how long will it last is not sure. Anyway i rebuilt that 1st gen block for dirt cheap to push it for the record and i will probably end up blowing it so we will see. It's mainly to try the no IC setup.

If the goal cannot be reach, i will do what it takes. :D And i plan to build a proper engine on the side once the car is running.

Is there any chance you'll make the carbon rotors in the standard ST185 size (277*25), or just your own sizes that the kits have?

We are going to have two designs available, one with continuous fiber and the other one with chopped fiber. We should be able to have one of the two in full custom design to produce OEM rotors to the size you want. Different sizes available too in carbon full BBK.

But even with our cheaper prices the cost will still be a killer. Brembo full kits front and rear with calipers cost over 32,000usd ours should be half that. But still worth more than most of our cars for a full set of OEM rotors in carbon ceramic.

Do you need to keep the stock size?

Also it can be interesting from a long term investment point of view with a BBK and large rotors. If you track your car, you will save on the long run compare to the price of replacing large rotors. And we will also offer swap kits to swap the rotors to your next ride. But that will be much less appealing if using OEM sized rotors.

Yes that's mine, that was a long time ago in Australia :D At the end i turn off the fuel pump switch but not the ignition hence the slow dying noise loool

Edit: Thanks for the comment :)

Unfortunately i didn't have a chance to take any good videos on the road before putting it in the container as it was soooo not street legal at that time for Australian police. They could have impounded my car and i had the container shipping coming up so no way i was gonna take risks. :-D
