has anyone swapped mk3 supra front brakes onto a st16x? I know that on a st185 you have to redrill the rotor to 5x100, fabricate a spacer to make the rotor sit properly and make a bracket for the caliper. but is it possible to use a st165 twin piston caliper and mod the bracket?

The supra brakes are a good question, I don't know of anyone who has tried and I think it will require the same mods as fitting ST205 brakes.

The ST185 brakes are a direct swap with no mods to the disks or brackets or calipers, the ST165 and ST185 are near identical so you would need to do the same mods if you wanted Supra brakes on a ST16x

The MR2 turbo also requires the mods you mention to fit our cars

The ST165 calipers are too narrow to fit the Supra/185 or MR2 turbo disks, you would have to grind down the pads just to get the disks in

Normal practice is to choose a disk and rotor to use and then make a mounting plate for the caliper
