Hmm, i have never seen any other celica with cruise control, so i really don't know! Maybe your right! But the previous owner claimed that the "controller" was factory mounted:biggrin Thanx! It's really low mileage, but be driven it will! Its a car, not a museum object But don't worry, i will take great car of it! Yeah maybe so! Oh, yeah sure. I will fix it this weekend Steve:wink How interesting is the garage? Its not a very good looking one unfortunately..:roll No not yet! But soon new oil and filter, and spark plugs Yes great service history, the most recent was about 2000km ago, with clutch change(with all the bearings and clutch cylinder) and new cambelt(with tensioner and all things) so no major things to do for now /Mårten
Yes I always thought the cruise control was like that. Let's see what Marten can find out. That's good news on the service especially the cambelt. All you have to do is enjoy your Celica everyday. Are you working or at college ? Hope you have some safe places to park.
Greetings from California Martin! Great find on the ST162... Why do you keep the headlights up all the time? Vicdat
Hmm, now i am confused. Because none of the steering wheels or interiors looks like mine? My steering wheel says "TWIN CAM" ? Different models depending if they where shipped to europe, america maybe?
Winter times! Long time no see! Last time i updated my thread was this summer. Now it is winter in Sweden (were i live), and the Celica is still going strong. I haven't had a single problem with the car, except jammed throttle once. But that was my bad.. It is great fun to drive in snow, for you guys that don't have snow in your countries. Updates on the car since last time: New spark plugs New headlights, h4 bulbs. Bought a used left taillight, because my indicator is broken (just the glass) Bought new studded winter tires, so no problem with traction at all. Painted up a few parts in the engine bay, silver is better that rust. Think thats all! Now some pictures, enjoy! /Mårten
Good to hear from you Marten, glad you are using your Celica and enjoying every moment behind the wheel.
Well Steve, it is a car. So it is supposed to be used, and the Celica is holding up good. But don't worry, i take great care of it anyway:ewink
I totally agree with you Marten, but mine has had limited use over the years because I don't like the rain getting on it If water gets in certain areas......rust , but because it's kept in the garage, it gets protected as much as possible. I do get it out at least once a week.
