Hey i just got my ricer maf adapter and cone filter...... i was gonna clean up the TB and MAF anything special i should do with the MAF is carb cleaner ok or should i just leave it alone....... ;p oh ill go search now to see if the answer is here already then delete this hehe
The first hint that you are doing something wrong is you have a fuel injected car and your cleaning with carb cleaner. Use fuel injector cleaner to start with(or throttle body cleaner.) I used to clean my MAS with a toothbrush and some TB cleaner. Always worked good for me.
tb cleaner carb cleaner same shit ;p but thanks ill give that a shot i think ill use my toothbrush then that gives me an excuse to go driving to buy a new one haha
that's the first thing I thought heh carb cleaner and tb cleaner are definetly not the same thing....carb cleaner can harm our engines....but whatever
Ya know thats what my buddy said when he ran Fuel Injector cleaner through his carb'd 305. Wouldn't ya know it needed a motor shortly after as it burned up a valve?
lol no it runs great actually runs a bit rough right after of course but a minute later and its prime again i just remember working at can tire and the "motomaster" brand TB and carb cleaner were exactly the same soooo
well then the motomaster brand is clearly garbage lol but as long as it works good then that's all that matters!
monkey your fine. a fuel additive for gas motors work on all gas motors. what youds can be potentialy dangerous to the motor but if it is used in moderation he'll be just fine.
