Losing Weight

Discussion in 'Suspension / Steering' started by Conan O'Brien, Aug 9, 2007.

  1. So I was looking at my 86 gts project and noticed it claims a curb of 3300 or something like that. I am getting rid of the A/c stuff, power seats and the heater core but that doesn't seem like it'll be much weight. Where the heck is this little car carrying the weight? I want the car to still look decent it will have a full interior but I gotta shed some pounds. Any tips? Will ST doors with manual windows/locks/mirrors fit I assume? Someone clue me in.

doors will work. but aside from really gutting her out it will be heavy. you'll be under 3K with your list plus the doors.

I thought the GT-S was like 2650 lbs with a full tank of gas. Subtract the 17 gallons and strip the car, get light seats and you should be down around 2300-2400. no?

I think the manufacturers specs list 1140kg, ~2500lbs, don't know where you got 3300lbs from, thats 1500kg!
